there's an English version of An Crúiscín Lán in the DT as CRUISKEEN LAWN.and also a version contributed by Alice in the Macaronic song thread

The Clannad site often has serious errors in transcription, but at a quick glance these two lyrics don't look bad.

Words and music for "Cruiskeen Lawn" are in the Levy sheet music collection. Just search on 'Cruiskeen' [or Box 174, Item 070].

well I thought I sent a thank you but it did not post for some reason (or it did and I shall look like an idiot now). Anyway thanks for the timely responses! I have used the Clannad site before and have noted problems but hope my Irish-speaking friends and my dictionaries will help me with pronunciation etc.
