The death has occurred of the actor Lawrence Tierney aged 82. He was the elder brother of the actor Scott Brady. His best performance was as the gangster John Dillinger in the 1945 movie "Dillinger." He was adept at playing bad guys in films and he did a great job as the organiser of the robbery in the 1991 film "Reservoir Dogs." Off screen he had a reputation as a hell raiser and in 1974 he was stabbed in a bar-room brawl. A bad week overall for the entertainment business.
