Subject: RE: Help: Eyewitness news Washington DC From: JohnInKansas Date: 11 Apr 02 - 04:41 PM You might be able to find something at one of the directory sites on the web. One example is at Cable Channel Directory. You will need to know what network the station is on, and the station "call letters." The specific news show may also have a "catch name" that would help. Few listings appear to be available using "Channel numbers," probably because cable and satellite services frequently map programs to different numbered channels. As a quick-look example, the above site gives a "clicky" to ABC, whose site has a "local program schedule" clicky. From there you pick Washington DC, and several of the stations have "email us" addresses. Right-click the clicky and you can read the "target address." Should be enough to get you started. If you're in the area, there is probably also a "Chamber of Commerce" or "City/State Information" web site that should have links to tv stations, or just put the station call letters (WGXX or WBXX-tv) into a search. In Internet Explorer (newer versions), you can just type the call letters in the "Address" bar at the top, and it will search for it. John |

Subject: RE: Help: Eyewitness news Washington DC From: Lepus Rex Date: 11 Apr 02 - 05:02 PM Is this her? It's an Orlando tv station, but it says that Allison Burns is from their Washington bureau. Here's WFTV's contact page, with email addresses, phone #s, etc. They might be able to put you in touch with her, if that's her. Good luck. ---Lepus Rex |

Subject: RE: Help: Eyewitness news Washington DC From: Celtic Soul Date: 11 Apr 02 - 07:53 PM http://www.wusatv9.com/ This is the url for channel 9 here in Washington DC. I have not perused the site...maybe they have contact info there. If not, call DC information (202) 555-1212 and ask for the stations number. The receptionist should know the contact info for all the shows.

Subject: RE: Help: Eyewitness news Washington DC From: Lepus Rex Date: 11 Apr 02 - 08:47 PM Here's the WUSA contact page. I don't see an Allison Burns on their "news team," though. WUSA is a CBS affiliate, and WFTV is ABC, so it's unlikely that the WFTV Burns would appear on WUSA. Huh. I give up. :) ---Lepus Rex
