As the CEO of the Neil Young Center for the Terminally Screwed, I am proud to announce the winner of this year's competetion for the Numbnuts Award. Every year we pick a completely screwed movie for the patients to watch and our fine staff has chosen well this year. Dr. Cojones endorses it as well and will be repeatedly shown to all being treated at both the Young Center as well as in our recently added wing, the James Taylor Rehab Unit for Catatonic Blandness. This year's selection marks a number of firsts, the chief one being that it does not star William Shatner, although I fear the actors in this one are somewhat better. Please enjoy at your leisure and remember the NYCFTTS is your Center.

Neil Young Center for the Terminally Screwed NUMBNUTS AWARD WINNER-2002

It's a QuickTime (I think) movie. If anyone managed to make it through the whole thing...well, you're SICK!

My God...the f**king thing has been going on my computer for what seems like FOREVER...

It's still going. How sick. Things are still blowing up. I wanna see another kamikaze watermelon.

Even the worst Star Trek episodes were better than this. Even "Mudd's Women" was better than this.

It's still going. Unbelievable. Uncanny.

Stupid.

Endlessly stupid.

I really have to go to bed, but it's not over yet...

AWRIGGGHHHT!!! Another kamikaze watermelon!

I am beginning to see the deeper meaning behind this film...

I could tell you all about it, Spaw, but I'm not going to.

Where do you find this stuff???

The world just blew up...again. That makes maybe 75 times now, I think...thereabouts.

This is definitely the Movie of the Year. No question about it.

Okay, I give up. It's not over yet, but I am. Bye.

(SPLAT!!!) (kamikaze watermelon)

- LH

p.s. Wait! I think it's ending now... Yes, I believe that's it. It's over. Be warned, Spaw, I will find a way of thanking you for this.

I appreciate your comments. The decision was very hard indeed and made even moreso since no one was able to make it through the whole feature........Hawk, by seemingly making it through, is now entitled to a free week of oatmeal baths at the Center.

I think the well-behaved inmates should actually get to watch "Almost Famous". It's so early-70's, nostalgic for the days when we should have been cutting high school, hanging around with rock stars, and freelancing for Rolling Stone with an expense account while ensuring they didn't know we were only 16...(yeah, Cameron Crowe and I are the same age.)...just the kind of delusions that led so many onced-hopeful souls directly to the residents wing of the NYCFTTS...

Hey, I saw this page in my site stats. Is this a real awarding? If so, let me know by email - albinoblacksheep@yahoo.ca (yes, .ca)

The movie is in Flash Format - and only requires the Flash Player Plugin on Internet Explorer.

The running time is 33 minutes - No one as far as I know has actually timed the movie, so the actual time is unknown.

Hi Spaw - sorry, I couldn't watch the movie; it takes forever to load on my `puter. I'm curious, though - what is ist with you and Neil Young? I just saw CSNY in concert, and Neil rocked! He made the show; without him, it would have been sort of boring.

Cheers,
Michael

I have just watched it right through, and am going to lie down for a while...

Who is Brian Kendall?

Has he been placed under restraint?

Have steps been taken to keep him from breeding?

Thanks for that Spaw. Couldn't manage the whole thing but it looks perfect for the staff and inmates at the centre. How would I go about getting a table for next years award ceremony? Or is it strictly A-list? C-flat.

michaelr.....I actually quite like a lot of things about Neil and especially his family relationships. But in any interview he comes off as the King of the Space Cadets....a true space admiral. On stage and especially in rocker mode, he appears completely crazed and it's hard to tell whether he is playing that Les Paul or screwing it. Years ago, we were having some conversations here about Neil along those lines and when I needed a name for an asylum, well.............

Guest AB......So is that really you there at Albino blacksheep? The real Brian Kendall as it were? If so, welcome to the 'Cat and you'll find that the NYCFTTS is certainly real around here and your movie....and I use that term loosely......is as crazed as I am and fits right in with the concept and operating precepts of the place.

I also need to announce that Cletus, Paw, Buford, and the Reg Boys, were at the Center doing some clean-up work during the voting and the movie had a significant effect on them.........uh, yeah..........well..............let's leave that tale for later.

C-flat and everyone wishing to attend the voting banquet next year are welcome to come and will be issued the requisite tiple and noseflute. If you could bring your owqn food it would help though.......

Spaw
CEO ... NYCFTTS

I have to tell you, Spaw, that movie is never going to be shown at the WSSBA. Never. We have a reputation to maintain here.

I can understand your reluctance Hawk. The entire cast of this movie, including the Kamikaze Watermelons, make Shitner look real bad.......I don't think his ego could stand being trompled over by a stick figure and a melon.

..heck was going on!....(Why doesn't someone SAY that this *REQUIRES* IE to view!)...(Active-X controls and all that)

and 'spaw...that is TRULY demented. The first thing that came to mind was that this guy had watched "Bambi meets Godzilla" too many times!

...ah, well, a few weeks of this, and the inmates at the Center will be begging for "Being There".....

Bill - Actually, "Being There" really grows on a person after the 50th or 60th viewing...specially the scenes with Shirley MacLaine.

Come to think of it, that might be the case with this movie too! Gosh. Who wants to test out my theory?

You're in real trouble Chip. I've reserved you a special time for a private session with Dr. Cojones......although he seems to be in the Center's screening room for prolonged periods..............

It's far worse than the "Killer Tomatoes", but it's worth it to see the kamikaze watermelon...
