It's official. Ferrara and I have finalized negotiations. I'm buying Ferrara's Gurian. I kept playing guitars and could not find the sound her Gurian made. It kept coming back into my head so I called today and we had a lovely visit. Bill D and Ferrara and I. Now it's just the details and shipping. I'm pooped - this is hard work resisting the inevitable!!

Soon as my new Lady gets here I'll take some pictures of O'l Mose and, hmmmmmmmmm, need a name here I reckon, and post them to the pictures page.

Be advised that any application of unfamiliar wires and wood will be a stopgap at best; GAS is a virulent disease, and no cure is known. I believe that if you were to gaze at this page too long, you might develop acute GAS.

Glad to hear you made a choice for a guitar you played and liked.

As one who does not suffer from GAS, I have to say I have still enjoyed reading about your malady and completley understand...no, really I do! BUT, it does sound fairly acute, no, no, it's NOT cute, I mean "serious" and I woud urge all of you who suffer to join GAS-A-Non-EE-Mouse, today...membership fees will take care of any extra cash you may have had with which to purchase any more axes (puir as church mice comes to mind), so that you will never suffer, again...just think of how happy your friends and family will be! Anahootz, Steve is right, you truly are a devil. Just looking at that Froggy site reminded me of an afternoon spent at Dusty Strings in Seattle. The most impressive guitar on the wall was a Froggy Bottom K model with walnut sides and back, and Englemann spruce top. Great depth with equally great balance. My bank account had already expired due to G.A.S a few months before, so I couldn't buy it----but----now I gotta run down there tomorrow just to, you know, see if it's still there! *G*. The infection spreadeth.

I held out as long as I could. First new guitar since 1976. Had a few banjos, fiddles, mandolins, banjolins, and one inherited guitar from my Dad that my Son has - And a piano for Janet - Ummmmmm - errrrrr uhhhhh

I have been drooling over a banjo hanging in alocal pawn shop fro months now. It is worth every cent of the $700 dollars they are asking for it but I couldn't make a down payment on one of its strings right now (and probably never will be able to) The shop owner whom I have known for years lets me take it down and pluck it whenever I go in, porobably in hopes that I will buy it. This thread will not doubt cause me to go tommorow and 'visit' with the banjo for a while!

Well Steve, as you know I had a similar complaint involving wind instruments, but I've now discovered FAT. Flute Aquisition Therapy. Feel the need? - buy a flute. Simple.
