Subject: still looking for song J I M M Y C L A Y From: Walter Wind Date: 02 May 98 - 12:57 PM I'm still looking for the folksong "Jimmy Clay" and I can't find this one in the database. I heard this song years ago - sung by a scotsman called Ian McIntosh. Any ideas - it would be great WALTER walterwind@for-president.com |

Subject: RE: still looking for song J I M M Y C L A Y From: Greg F. Date: 04 May 98 - 07:28 PM If its the 'Jimmy Clay' that begins:"As you walk down the street, who will follow you/Six o'clock its getting late/The moon it is rising as the sticky dew/Molds on the ground by the gate/with youir rifle on your shoulder..." its by Patrick Sky & was, I believe, recorded on his 'Reality is Bad Enough' album, late 60's. If the correct song, let me know & I can dig out the words. See this thread: Greatest Anti-War Song Ever?--JoeClone
