YEs! ..we've snagged another one... turned someone else on to the trap of the Mudcat (actually Nightowl spent the time convincing, i just helped)

paul0 and i were involved in a World championships Hobie 16 trapseat regatta (www.cosa.bc.ca), and nightowl has been up visiting and hanging about. Well, he being a guitar player of course we got talking about the Mudcat and it's wonderful flavour of people, he checked it out.. and is now hooked....

We have given the appropritate warnings about Spaw so he is forwarned.....

other than that .. another welcome addition to our community......

As I understand it, it is competition sailing for the disabled. Musicman has been super busy helping them into their "Hobies" and NightOwl's been reportedly taking a lot of pictures! You can read more about it at the link Musicman posted.*bg*

Thanks for the welcome! Sorry it's been a couple of days since I could reply, been out camping in the hills.

Trapseats are a modified hobie 16 catamaran with slings mounted on each side of the boat for the disabled skipper to sit in while driving. The world championships were here in Kelowna, BC. Great racing, great people.

It was a treat to meet Night Owl and Musicman on the beach there. I'm just getting started playing guitar and picked up a lot of fun things from them, and had a lot of fun just hanging out at the beach with them hauling hobies in and out of the water.

This web site rocks, the forums are a huge wealth of information and fun, and the blues history page consumed a couple of hours that I should have been sleeping!
