Readers of the Guardian on Saturday will have noticed an astonishing picture of a Triumph Spitfire diving into a lake, driven by a man in a top hat. The Guardian unaccountably failed to mention who made it. Just I thought I would let you know the sculptor was Malcolm Webster, banjo-player with Steamhead and great boat-builder. The sculpture(and other similar follies) can be seen at Wallington House, Northumberland. Steamhead tend to be heard in Cheshire.
