Subject: RE: BS: Happy Birthday to me From: wilco Date: 09 Oct 02 - 02:39 PM Giok: Don't be discouraged. I've known of several people who have attained the age of sixty, who live normal, productive lifes. Moreover, some of my friends are of that persuasion. I've even had them over to my home socially. With the proper support, they are like normal people. Hope you feel looooottts better!! |

Subject: RE: BS: Happy Birthday to me From: Genie Date: 09 Oct 02 - 05:45 PM Happy birthday, dear Giok, May you still run amok Sowing wild oats and sweet tunes From pub songs to Bach! Like Wilco, some of my best friends are over 60. Some of them still drive cars, chase women (or men, as the case may be), can still feed themelves, and can stand without their walkers long enough to play a couple of guitar or banjo songs. Seems like there is life for sexagenarians, after all!* Genie *I'll be able to tell you first-hand, come November. |

Subject: RE: BS: Happy Birthday to me From: Deda Date: 09 Oct 02 - 07:16 PM I can tell you for sure that there is life for sexagenarians -- my own dearly beloved, handsome, winsome husband is 64 -- and I still need him and feed him. Hope you've had the happiest of days, Giok. And many, many more. |

Subject: RE: BS: Happy Birthday to me From: Bat Goddess Date: 10 Oct 02 - 02:20 PM Ayuh, 'Mudge hit 60 last week. Walloped the hell out of it, too. Judging from my friends' experiences (one 64 year old just got back from 2 years in El Salvador with the Peace Corps), seems like a pretty good age, too. (I'm still a baby of 53 -- somehow, I missed 50; it just flew past me.) Anywho, hope you have a grand day! My philosophy is to celebrate at least all month. See if you can hear a toast coming at you from this neck of the woods! (Oh, and I really WILL get the envelope that's sitting on my table addressed to you and all rubberstamped and actually in the mail to you SOON! I promise!!!) Linn |

Subject: RE: BS: Happy Birthday to me From: katlaughing Date: 10 Oct 02 - 03:17 PM Happy Birthday! Sorry I am late and didn't know when we were in chat, yesterday! You know in numerology, we would add the 6 and o reducing it to just 6, so you could be 6, instead!*bg* Centre-age is great...here's to many more years of it! luvyakat |

Subject: RE: BS: Happy Birthday to me From: John MacKenzie Date: 10 Oct 02 - 04:20 PM Thank you all for the good wishes and the smiles raised this end. Yep Kat my Lizzie bought me a 6th birthday card, so she's obviously a numerologist. It also means that I can re-read "Now we are Six", by A A Milne, one of my favourite books. When I was one I was just begun, And when I was two, I was nearly new. When I was three I was hardly me, And when I was four, I wasn't much more. When I was five I was just alive. But now that I'm six, I'm as clever as clever. So I think I'll stay six, for ever and ever. Thank again Giok |

Subject: RE: BS: Happy Birthday to me From: Alio Date: 11 Oct 02 - 03:52 AM You're obviously a very nice person Giok, as you're a Libran. I can say that with all honesty because I'm one, and it's my birthday today. Not quite 60 yet, but not far away. Hope you had a lovely birthday. I'm off to a party tonight, so hopefully by tomorrow my birthday will be just a blur! Ali |
