GUEST called Mike: the stuff on "Trip to the Lakes" is very like what you'll find in jamie Knowles "Northern Lass", because Jamie edited my notebooks for that book; I was the source for 80 of the tunes in it. If you'ld like a copy, PM me(if youre a cookie-less member). otherwise email me at boatband(at)cwctv.net(putting in the at symbol of course, I'm on spam prevention).

Guy Wolff: I played a gig at Wetheriggs Pottery once. great place. I'll PM you with some info in case you want a CD.

Yes, WYSIWYG there is.

However, the content of that thread has very little to do with this one.

Would I be rude if I suggested that you 'shut up' unless you have something relevant and useful to say?

Probably...

'Time & Tide' by Colin & Karen Thompson is well worth a listen. Strong vocals and excellent guitar.

Amos , Hello , Yes I think Dick would be a perfect place to start or if some UK member could organize from that side that could work as well.. Great

Greg I did my jouneymanship in part at Wetheriggs pottery outside Penrith so I have great feelings for the lakes..If you would leave an adress here or in my personal I would send some $$$ for your cd.. YAY

Miicca thanks for mentioning this cd.. My aprentiships were in Penbrokeshire and Glamorganshire so we can celabrate Wale and Llanfair for being Wales.. Lets let Wales be Wales by all means.. a beautiful world all onto itself!!!

Oakley How do people get yours??? This cd should not be missed for the frienship and musicianship it shows... !!!!

And how do we get the 'Greg Stevens' CD, Greg?

What sort of stuff is on it? I really like the Jamie Knowles book 'A Northern Lass' Is that the sort of thing?

I think that there might be some quarrels with any attempt to place Wales in the North of England (!), though there is a village of that name in South Yorkshire.

One very good northern CD by a Mudcatter is called "A Trip to the Lakes"; it is all traditional tunes from Cumbria. I'll check out the liner notes and see who made it ....................just putting me glasses on..........ah here we are, Greg Stephens is the name of the Mudcatter concerned.

I reckon shipping a dozen of each to Dick Greenhaus would manage it, Guy.
