Because:
1. Vancouver BC's Larry Campbell and COPE took the Mayoralty, every seat bar 2 on Council, every seat bar 1 on the School Board and every seat bar 2 on Park Board. All this a huge turd in the eye for our ruling "Liberal", Gordon Campbell and his privatization and anti-Kyoto policies. Yay, Larry!;
2. Tomorrow you'll see the largest Peace March ever held in Vancouver (and our record is 150,000) to oppose Bush's Iraqi War; and
3. The Vancouver Folk Song Society's Ballad & Blues Weekend (next weekend) is SOLD OUT! (with 72 good singers and players in attendance).

Sounds as though your "liberal" means something different than it does here in the States; the rest of it sounds really exciting and good! The more protest marches and sold out folk events the better! Thanks for letting us know.
