A small technical problem stops me writing to long threads when logged out, hence this personal thread. Re your query on Daleks in the current Santa thread. I have cancelled that idea, as not wheelchair friendly. Please expect two long knives shortly, with attachment brackets, so you can go to Women's gatherings as Queen Boadicea. Shouldnt cause any Customs problems.

O-kaaay.... if you insist... I really only ask because I suspect (with Daleks in your basement), that you are writing from either Britain, or a former British colony... And I recently received a "small packet" from the UK...

I was pretty sure it wasn't from you, as I thought I recognized the handwriting, but it didn't have any return address, and short of breaking the rules, and opening it early, I couldn't be positive on that point, so I was double-checking.

And I still have not received my SS gift from last year, so if I start to act nervous and figity on this point, you'll understand why...

I know this is a busy time for you, so please remember to take a break now and then, and smell the cinnamon cocoa...

If a packet has already arrived, it is not from me. Mine only went in the post two days ago, and it is coming a looooooooong way (I am indeed from a former British colony, and it is not Canada).

It might be my packet, the post might have come quick. I was only joking about the long knives, it is an oblong box with small holes in. If you knock it sharply you should hear a rustling/scraping noise, and psssibly a low intermittent hiss. All you need is a large glass tank, at least three feet deep. Throw in two or three live mice, and then open the box in the bottom of the tank, wearing elbow length leather gauntlets. Put in another three mice each day, plus a saucer of Bailey's Cream Liqueur, and the job's a good'un.

Well, then... the packet is most definitely not yours... the one I got is basically a fully stuffed envelope. It's lumpy and heavy and rather intriguing... no air holes, though...

But thanks for the warning... I don't have a glass tank of any sort, or leather gloves. This will give me time to get them!

BTW, what does FAO stand for?

I figure it's "For [something] only" ... I'm just stumped by the something.
