NOTE: Jeppe Aakjær's translation of Robert Burns' Auld Lang Syne. Used especially in Jutland (which is also the accent used) for gatherings and farewells.

TUNE: The same as for Auld Lang Syne :P

Oh, and on another note: This song is mostly known to the population under the name of 'Skuld gammel venskab rejn forgo' or just 'Skuld gammel venskab', though Aakjær's own title indeed was 'For læng, læng sind' (source).

I have heard that speaking Danish is quite difficult
though i know my ancestors did it-I would be interested
in learning. I undersatnd there is on song about a church
(KIRK) that has an image in it of bringing grain to the
birds. or saving some of the harvest from threshing to
share with wildlife. Do you have this one?

Look at the note, this song is a translation of Robert Burns' Auld Lang Syne, of which there is five versions in the DT...
