Subject: RE: Thursday music sessions, West yorks? From: Malcolm Douglas Date: 12 Mar 03 - 01:40 PM For South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire, see http://www.folk-network.com/directory/calendar.html#Thursday. As ever, no guarantees that some haven't changed and not told me. There will soon be a listing for the whole of Yorkshire at Yorkshire Folk Arts, but everything has to be checked first. |

Subject: RE: Thursday music sessions, West yorks? From: Sir Roger de Beverley Date: 12 Mar 03 - 03:11 PM I can recommend the Ossett Singers club in Ossett, West yorks - close to J40 of the M1. Held in the back room of the Brewer's Pride brew pub it has been going for 20+ years and will be there this week. Despite the name it is not a club but a singaround, there is no entry charge and everyone performs from where they are in the room. I moved away four years ago but I'm visiting tomorrow Roger contact Geoff Pyke on 01924 279206 |
