The 2 girls that you ask about were Sylvia and Rowena, who still sing together and are now part of Thorn and Roses who you asked about in another thread! Cheers, Lucy |

Subject: RE: Swan Folk Club Wadebridge in the Sixties From: GUEST Date: 27 Mar 03 - 07:22 AM Have you seen the British Library Sound Archive's catalogue at www.bl.uk/collections/sound-archive? Click on "Search the Sound Archive Catalogue" and search for "Wadebridge": you'll find references to some recordings made in The Swan in the 1960s (including one of Mervyn Vincent) as well as some others made in The Ship in the 1990s, in case they're of interest. |
Subject: RE: Swan Folk Club Wadebridge in the Sixties From: Dave Bryant Date: 27 Mar 03 - 04:43 AM I can only remember as far back as Mervyn's club - I did two gigs there - lovely place. When Linda and myself were down there the other year, we had a few drinks in the "Ring 'O Bells" in memory of "The old Bugger". |
