Okay, here's the deal:

I'm familiar with the Robert Johnson version below (harvested from a post by JustaPicker--thanks), but in the past year it seems like every time I've heard this song, someone throws in an extra verse or elaborates on verses already present. Two that spring to mind right off are the Eddie Baltimore version and the Fielding/JustaPicker version on Acoustic Workshop a while back that had something about a rooster and bow-legged hen?
