there are two designs for men's briefs...the older style with diagonal fly..(which I suppose is meant by "y-front") and a newer horizontal fly design, which in my opinion is much more practical and less awkward. Munsingwear is my preferred brand.

I have worn 'boxers' perhaps twice in my life, even though 'some' women seem to think they are more aesthetic..(at least there are more fabrics and designs, which allows the ladies to shop for 'cute' gifts..*grin*)...I wear what I wear for comfort and support.

With the advent of lycra I find trunks the best compromise.

For the benefit of those who don't know trunks should fit tight to the leg while boxers have a gap between thigh and fabric.
