Hi, I'm looking for the lyrics of the Bert Jansch's song "Walk quietly by", from the CD "When the circus comes to town" and "Live at 12 bar".

Thanks a lot for the help!

I've listened to a couple of sound samples at Yahoo! Music, and here's what I think I hear:

...in the winter snow
You'll find him pickin' up the papers that people throw
All day long he's happy in this world
Pickin' up the leaves
Cleanin' up his own back yard

There's no rhyme no reason
Walkin' the streets of this wide world

WALK QUIETLY BY

Walk quietly by,he won't bother you
He's a busy man,he's got things to do
All day long he's happy in his world
Picking up the leaves
Cleaning up his own back yard

In summer heat,in winter snow
You'll find him picking up the papers that people throw
All day long he's happy in his world
Picking up the leaves
Cleaning up his own back yard

There's no rhyme nor reason, walking the streets of this wide world
Can't find anything to rest this troubled mind
Please help me I keep asking
Everybody's so busy that they wont stop
I got to keep on moving,to rest this troubled mind

He dosn't care, nor does he know
Of the outside world that comes and goes
All day long he's happy in his world
Picking up the leaves
Cleaning up his own back yard

So walk quietly by,he won't bother you
He's a busy man,he's got things to do
All day long he's happy in his world
Picking up the leaves
Cleaning up his own back yard

From the cd 'Bert Jansch live @ the 12 bar - An Authorised Bootleg'(BJCD002)

This is the closest I can get.Translating Janschese is not easy.

Thanks Jim!
Thanks Roly!

I know, the "Janschese" is not easy to undertand, in particoular for the people like me, who dont' speak a good english!
For this I ask a lot of questions about his songs!

Be patient with me!
