Not sure of the spelling. A Scottish ballad called the Maid of Illah, a ship... I would like to have lyrics. Some of them are: By the firelight of winter with a brandy filled class, Jolly Jack Tarver returned home at last, His sea legs they shook and his hands were never still, A lifetime of sailing, he'll never get his fill.... Anybody know this song?? Thanks

Sorry I don't know the tune but it's probably spelt Islay. A very important place in Scotland as far as I'm concerned as it is where the distill Bowmore. I think there's about another 4 distilleries on the island.

The song that was wanted must be THE MAID OF ISLAY by Iain MacDonald. Click the link to see where the lyrics were posted in another thread.
