A very important place in Scotland as far as I'm concerned as it is where the distill Bowmore. I think there's about another 4 distilleries on the island. Cheers Mick |
Subject: Maid of Illah(SP) Scottish Folk Song. From: Zorro Date: 02 Aug 98 - 08:21 PM Not sure of the spelling. A Scottish ballad called the Maid of Illah, a ship... I would like to have lyrics. Some of them are: By the firelight of winter with a brandy filled class, Jolly Jack Tarver returned home at last, His sea legs they shook and his hands were never still, A lifetime of sailing, he'll never get his fill.... Anybody know this song?? Thanks |
