Caversham Charity Folk Festival is coming up on 20/21/22 June.

Caversham is the North part of Reading, Berks, UK. The festival is held on the riverfront & in various local pubs. There is a program of concerts, childrens events, blues stuff, skiffle bit, constant singarounds, etc etc. Something for everyone. Dunno who the wierd looking bloke on the program cover is............... :>)

There is no entrance fee, but plenty of collection tins going round.

Camping is available for a small fee.

Lots of stuff going on.

So if you've nothing better to do (and who could possibly have anything better)......

Here's a link CCFF

If any Catters are going, please pass on my regards to Paul Flood and Liam Yapp of Stilwood. It was their spontaneous session in my father's pub some thirty years ago which got me into folk music. I am glad to hear they are still playing. Nice blokes and I am sure it will be a good session.

I'm going, but am a little befuddled. Mouse are on the programme, and as far as I'm aware from Martha, Mouse are no more... Is this a different Mouse (ie other than Martha and Nick), or will I be one very happy Lidy when I get there?
Lidy

Weather's looking good: warm and dry. Not too sunny, but wear your sun-block anyway. Loads of participation sessions as well as some top names. But come and say "hullo" and join in on our* choruses on the boat Saturday lunchtime. If we're* as good as we* were last night in Staines, then we'll* be as good as we* were last night in Staines.

*that's me and Lorna.

*which was very good. imho, of course.

STOP PRESS: We're also playing the same afternoon at Reading's WaterFest. See the Reading Borough Council site for stuff about all the lovely boats, kiddie entertainments, morris sides and stalls.

I'd say something about coming thick and fast, but I just know you'd misinterpret me...
