Wow Carol....Great minds and all of that as I was just about to start this thread and was going back to copy his post when I saw this.

Yes, our great Argentine 'Catter Andres is a new Grandpa!!! He slipped it into a posting on the "Rick's Health Update" thread where he said:

"Yesterday a little boy named Leonel came to this world claiming that I am his grandfather. I still can't beleive it, but he's so beautiful.."

Here's to you my friend and to your latest addition. I know you will spoil him terribly and that's as it should be!!! The past year has brought much unhappiness to you but this joyous event should lift your spirits........Hey!! It lifts mine!!! I couldn't be happier and I hope I can send some of my happiness to add to yours. All my best to you and your family and pass on a little hug to this new arrival from your friend in Ohio. Karen and I send you our love.

Congratulations indeed, Escamillo. Grandchildren are the best. Now in another fourteen years or so, you can go camping and canoeing in the wilderness with him as I recently did with my oldest granddaughter.

And then again you all insist in making me cry ! It's too much for an old grandpa ! Yes, a newborn is a joy, at last. When you feel that the show is over, a very little hand greets you and seems to say "hey, aren't you singing something for me too ?" and then you know that it's time to stay a little longer, hang your coat back in the closet, and prepare to give more of yourself.

As soon as I get some photos I'll upload them to Mudcat. My son Javier and his wife Karina are immensely happy. They had formally got married in April (and the baby came on 30 June, aren't they fast ?) Uncles Mariano and Andrés are happy too.

Big hug for you all, I hope to be visiting my oldest son in Florida in August or September and will try to meet someone or talk for a while. Thanks a million.

More important than my infinite sadness and more important that my joy for my son, his wife and their beatiful baby, is the heritage of that wonderful woman who was Graciela, my wife. She created for our three sons an insurance policy to guarantee for them all the love, respect, and consideration that a person deserves in their childhood and adulthood. Her dedication to her sons showed them very clearly which is the right, and righteous direction.

From their mother they learnt to not discriminate, to not judge and to not feel superior to anybody. They know that if they have to teach, they'll teach with respect, and if they have to give a hand, to not expect a retribution.

With their mother they laughed until exhausted, and cried only the day that she had to go. In their mother they saw how a woman can make a man the most important person in the world, and her sons grow up in the confidence on themselves and their parents.

That's why this little boy will be strong and true, and hopefully others will come soon and will play with him multiplying the joy.

To her, my love and gratitude forever. And for you all, thanks again and another hug. Keep singing and be blessed.
