Made me gag - but I am easily entertained. The sign is permanently posted on the stage of a local entertainery/drinkery/eatery.

There are several stringless guitars hanging from the ceiling but no directions to the location of the owner's body - if still around; maybe the body is already a fossil?

Exactly what would the brave volunteer be risking? I ask. Perhaps the clientelle rip off the Guitar strings then share the Guitarist suitably sizzled and dipped in ketchup? perhaps they season them in sage then boil having stuffed with corncobs?

well, in the USA, the National "Air Guitar" championships just concluded, with the winner headed to Finland for the International competition! Perhaps those are the practice instruments? ;>)

yup! The winner was this kid who said his folks sent him to Cornell, and payed for lessons on 12 different instruments, none of which he could do well...but he sure 'emotes' well.

As you can imagine, the winner, and I assume most of the entries were for rock/electric guitar....I can only wonder how they would view air finger-pickin' or flat pickin'

I have often played air-melodeon.
I stand alongside the other musicians of our morris side, and play the air button while squeezing and fingering buttons.
The dancers have been known to lose the step when they catch sight of me in the band!!!
