he's seeing what it will take to fix the zapped one....it may be easier that way...it was a fairly new machine, and Max can, with a little time, maybe get it going again...(if folks WANTA bankroll a spare, I doubt there would be much objection...*grin*)

If every body who posts regularly put in ten dollars (or local equivalent)and ALL members put in 'something'it ought to cover he cost of a new rig for Max.

Hold off everyone. The thought is much appreciated, but I'd like to do some research and thinking about what would be best for Mudcat and me. I may want to colocate something which would be more monthly payments, less hardware, fewer fires in my basement, more difficult upgrades and day to day work. I'll let you know what I decide.

Folks if we sell all the cookbooks (and I have pre-orders for about 1/3 of them), it will raise approximately $500 for Mudcat for Max to spend as he sees fit. And if we sell out, we can print more, Aren't you feeling hungry? :)
