Subject: BS: Partner reqd: Saunders MM 5-6 July From: John J Date: 03 Jul 03 - 08:53 AM Hi folks, this is a REAL non-music topic! I'm due to take part in the Saunders Mountain Marathon this weekend. The race is for pairs only, but my No 2 son has had to drop out cos of a glandular fever flare-up. I've entered the Carrock Fell Class, not a particularly hard class (I hope) although decent mountain navigation is important. The race involves trotting around a selection of checkpoints and ending up at an overnight campsite on Saturday night, then the same again on Sunday but ending up at the start. The race is 5-6 July in the Helvellyn area. My start time is 8.50am-ish. I'm M45, live in South Manchester, and intend to go up on Friday night (camp) or v early Saturday morning. Any takers?
