Welcome to our increasingly less exclusive club. There are no rules, but it's harder to enjoy that now... This, my 50th year as well, has been the best of my life by far. Hope yours is too.

happy b-day to you too, lady!!
i went on a 6,000 mile road trip
and made it home safe--that is an
adventure...plus I met a couple of
mud cat and pal talk friends, made
music in city parks, basement rec.
rooms, on board sail boats, in
living rooms, and camped out by
mountains, rivers, in back yards,
front yards, canyons, heard coyotes,
cows and crows (my leaast favorite
"song" bird!) and night hawks--one
of the ones i like to hear along with
kill-deer, and red-winged black birds.
Saw bison (but they were in a fence)
helped a cousin cut hay on the farm,
met new relatives and exchanged family
tree information, and most of all buried
my parents' ashes. I added to my cup-
board some varieties of hot pepper
relish/jelly, and with the4 help of Sorcha,
found 2 of the tunes i had been searching
for for many years: "Nail the Catfish to a Tree"
and "Pikes Peak"! Thank you Sorcha!!

As my friend said to me...Over the hill..and gaining speed! I like that! Especially now that I'm attempting to join the non-smokers club. Who knew it would feel this great to be able to breathe and not wake up hacking and coughing and not have burning lungs. Hopefully I'll gain more speed as I climb the hills as well!
