The Miner's Arms, Warren Lane, Chapeltown, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, UK, S35 2YD

on Thursday 18 September 2003

Starting time: 9:30

Finishing time: 11:10pm

Julie usually does the first 45 minute set and then opens up the PA to allcomers, so bring your guitar, words and voice and join in.

Is this a one-off, or likely to be regular? I can publicise it a bit via the SRFN website, but that's more effective with a bit more advance notice as a rule.

Guitars are not compulsory - in fact the session is free and easy - we don't have drums and bass amps and the like (Julie plays acoustic guitar in her solo set) but there are no restrictions as to who can get up a do a few songs - last time we had acoustic guitar players and one unacompanied singer.

As regards frequency, Julie was there last in June. Don't know if the pub has anything else similar happening, but if we can get a good turn out maybe it will turn into something more regular.
