Hi folks
Having a great time in Oz, weather is not too warm, it's only spring after all. Met up with an old mate from school days on Saturday when I was in Sydney, 45 years since last we met, so we had a lot of catching up to do. As a consequence of this I missed the session at Annandale that night, sorry about that but it's not every day you catch up with someone after such a long time. We've been to Gundagai, the Ettamoga Pub, Sydney, Jindabyne, and Marimbula, today we're in Lakes Entrance, and tomorrow Phillip Island to see the penguins, back to Melbourne on Friday. Then Maldon Folk Festival on Saturday, lots to do.

Well, at least we can be reassured you weren't buried under all that hail Alison reported (in the Charley Noble "Foray to Oz" thread) from her Blue Mountains gig!

We are performing as Joy and Hildebrand. 3 concerts, one theme concert - "7 deadly sins" and a stint on the vintage train on Sunday with O'Leary the fiddler. Enjoy the penguins and all. Cheers Joy

As Bob said we thought you might have been affected by the weather.

Enjoy Maldon - & make sure you get to Joy & Hildebrand's concerts, they put on a good show. I might put their CD on next, I haven't heard it for a while.

Ha! Ha! Well I suppose I should be indelicate enough to mention that I was once known as "The Bourke Street Thrush" (Bourke Street Melbourne, downunder). I was a regular busker there and among other names this was the one I wondered about - me being a nurse and all.

I'm just going to shout "All largish fellers who are 5ft 10 with grey goatees and dark hair hands up!" That'll flush him out I reckon! Of course he probably talks funny so I'll keep my ears open. So Giok,
looks like you now need to add the I've been everywhere song by Geoff Mack to your rep. Geoff was recently on the ABC show "Love is in the air" with his wife explaining how the song was written, and how Lucky Starr just happened to be in the Kings Cross Stip Club that night and asked him if he could record it... went to No 1...


BTW, is there more than one "Ettamoga Pub"? - there is a tourist trap just off the highway up near the Queensland Sunshine Coast.

I think there is a chain of Ettamogah pubs....... not sure where the originla one was.. but one just opened up near Kellyville in Sydney...
