Subject: BS: Anyone watching 'Carnivale'? From: michaelr Date: 30 Oct 03 - 10:00 PM It's not TV, it's HBO. America's first cable movie channel continues to rake in awards for its original programming such as "The Sopranos" (bring on the next season already!), "Six Feet Under" (weird but fascinating) and "Sex and the City" (barf). Their latest offerings are "K Street" featuring James Carville and Mary Matalin, which is sort of interesting in a DC kind of way, and "Carnivale", on which I am hooked! This series is set in a traveling tent show during the depression, and combines ghosts, magic, poverty, faith healing and revivals in a most unexpected way. If you've missed any of it, you can watch all seven episodes that have previously aired (there's five more to come) this Sunday, Nov. 2. Anyone else here into it? Cheers, Michael |
