Your Mother sits alone, abandoned by all but two of her children. She sighs and weeps in her loneliness, but yet loves everyone.

Aren't you ashamed to so abandon her?

Yon Rap had nothing to do with this thread (until just now, that is).

In ancient times, A son was so covetous of his Mother's fortune and possessions he cut her heart out and placed it in a basket. He rushed to the river to dispose of his burden. As he ran, he could hear the heart beating. Suddenly he fell and dropped the basket. From the basket his Mother's voice called out,"My son, my son, are you alright?"

Poor old MUM.

You never miss a Mother's love, till she's burried beneath the clay.

Just buy her a brand new hat, but I think you better let it go at that.

Good old Tom Lehrer, just like Shakespear - a quote for any occasion.

Gracious. I clicked on the link and started scrolling and scrolling and scrolling and scrolling and scrolling (get the idea?) and scrolled some more. Never did get to the posts. Finally looked up to see what the title was and found I had opened The Mother of all. I'm sure it is a scintillating thread and all but my interest is limited and my lifetime finite.

What's wrong with loving your mother - does it make you blind or something ?
