I thought I was dreaming when I saw Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon and Sonny Boy Williamson tonight on BBC TV's Top Of The Pops 2. I think the show may be repeated on so look out for this.

It was a a clip from a new DVD of German TV clips - this one was from 1963 and they were singing 'Mojo Working'.

Yes, nameake, I caught the end of it while I was channel surfing, Great stuff, I think they said the DVD was something like American Blues Legends?

Great stuff. I was in a band called H-Bomb and the Fallouts that year(63) and Mojo Working was one of our big numbers.

Ahhhh gat my mojoo workin'!

Yes... I saw it too - wasn't it fab! Me and me other half were going mad trying to work out who it was.... bit disappointing thought o be followed by the band... The flock of seagulls... I mean... come on - there's absolutely no competition... A bit of a poor follow group! Though interesting hairstyles abound!

This appears to be Vol 1 - the details of Vol 2 (Oct 2003) do not seem to be available yet.

I believe Steve Wright said it was a German show originally.

Yes - most refreshing to see this. Who was the pianist - Otis Spann?
And was'nt that some great bass playing from Willie Dixon. I alsovery much liked the Beatles doing Revolution, lots of distorted guitar and an occasional whine of feedback, a very live feel. I like their live stuff, quite apart from everything else they achieved, they were a rockin' little band.

I was disappointed. Sonny Boy's harmonica playing was very ordinary, and I was expecting a far more intense vocal delivery from Muddy. I saw Muddy as part of a blues package tour in Liverpool, 1964. I even got his autograph!
