Subject: RE: Web Cast James Keelaghan TONIGHT! From: Jeri Date: 23 Nov 03 - 04:02 PM It's Clinton Hammond... If it's not free, I'd like to know what the guy's done with the REAL Clinton! (And I'll have to re-install the stupid RealOne player monstrosity.) |

Subject: RE: Web Cast James Keelaghan TONIGHT! From: GUEST,Big Jim from Jackson Date: 24 Nov 03 - 09:43 AM I listened in, although the sound was bad because I don't have enough band width to accomodate the connection. At times the sound would improve and Keelaghan's voice was clear---what a singer! I've met James a couple of times and, in my opinion, he's the best of the "young" folkies. His songs are all very serious and heavy, but what he says is so "right on" that you don't need any comic or light-hearted stuff cluttering up his sets. I sure wish he'd make it down to the center of the USA once in a while! |
Subject: RE: Web Cast James Keelaghan TONIGHT! From: Jeri Date: 24 Nov 03 - 09:57 AM Clinton, thanks for making us aware of the broadcast. I enjoyed it even with bandwidth problems, but it would have been better if I'd been there. Yeah, I like his songs and the way he sings 'em. First and only time I saw him was 1996-ish at Old Songs. He AND Natalie McMaster AND Alasdair Frasier were there, and I didn't know quite who to follow around. |
