We had a wonderful time at the Whalebone. Thanks to all who came and played and sang and listened. The next one's at The Kingston, Cumberland Street on Saturday 20th, starting about 9pm.

Would love to go to Marlbro Les but I have a cupboard full of double sheets, single sheets , flat sheets, quilt covers and dozens of odd pillow cases to sort before I get hoards of folkies riding on donkeys decending on Whitby asking if there is any room at the inn this Christmas.

see you there:-)

Nah Mick the Granby is next door but one (or two). The Admiral is the one on the corner of the Square and Prestongate

The "wrong" side of the bar - is that where all the booze and our money is?

We'll discuss future possibilities when we meet up - thanks for the suggestions.

We'd be delighted to give it a go in the New Year as long as we don't get in the way of the locals. You're right - an excellent pub.

What about "St.Johns"? great pub with a great landlord who is always amenable to a bit of music.

Announcing an occasional series of sessions (singing, playing, poetry or what you will) in Hull, famed sub-centre of Mudcat Activity

Friday 12 December 9pm Whalebone, Wincolmlee (lots of beer choice including locally-produced hand-pulled bitter at £1.25 a pint)

Saturday 20 December 9pm Kingston, Cumberland Street (Christmas Special)

Depending on the success of these, we may have more of the same. Suggestions for suitable hostelries will be welcome.

The Kingston Wanderers
