Will the circle be unbroken?

Even if it is, lord, by and by, what does it mean?

Does it matter? Do I care?

Cheers

Further along,
we'll know all about it,
further along we'll
understand why,
Cheer up, my brother,
live in the sunshine,
You'll understand it
all bye and bye!"
------------------------

Dave, I'm not sure we'll ever understand-or know the mysteries. I came across this verse today, and it seemed to fit your query. It was on a web tutorial accompanied by a great mandolin piece. I've been playing it for an hour. So I got something out of it.
No answers to life's imponderables - but an awful pretty tune. Wish I knew the name.

Ken, Can't believe how that got by me--Didn't try the poem with the tune. Of course it's damn obvious now.
Now you can enroll me in the "Moron School" scholarship program when you hear my next question. Who's MJH ? Does he play mandolin ? Thanks so much for the input.

I guess the idea of the song is that any circle of familial (and, in a larger sense, spiritual) relationships is always a broken circle because some of us are here, on Earth, and some of us have gone on to whatever happens next. When we all meet again on the other side, the circle will be complete and unbroken.

But that doesn't mean that my circle will be complete when I die, does it? Because, even though I will have joined my grandparents and parents, that's only half of the circle. I'll probably still have children and grandchildren hangin' around here and I'll have to wait for them to croak before my circle's complete. And, even then, their circle won't be complete 'cause they'll still be waitin' for their own kids and grandkids to croak. Damn! Who started this thread anyway?

Bruce

A broken circle is a horse shoe. May the luck be with U (Oh another broken circle, Oh & one the isn't - this is going round in circles)

Broken tokens tend to be made out of rings. And the happy ending is when the parts are brought together, and the circle is unbroken ince again.

I have nothing to add - I just need this thread at the top of the page to create a cosmic thread alignment.

No. All circles are eventually broken. Unless somebody sits on them, in which case they are called elipses.

Think someone reported a simlar event on an old thread, but true story nevertheless. A friend's pet fell from the balcony of their 3rd floor apartment to the pavement of the parking lot below. Did you know that turtles can scream?

Anyways, it survived and the Vet repaired it's shell with crazy glue.

Will the turtle be unbroken?
Bye and bye, Lord, bye and bye.
