I suppose it is a bit chilly to camp at Stoupe Cross at this time of year.    So Herpy Crimsworth anyway, muppett, and we'll see thee int'owd spot when the weather gets better. Or in the Endeavour this Saturday, if I can persuade the good lady Jingle not to make me go to the Piggies concert at the Spa that evening.    A whole week in Whitby at Chrimmsworth......heaven!!!

Stumbled on a scratch Christmas carol choir last year, joined it this year, and haven't had a more enjoyable Advent for years.

To draw on a vaguely related thread, who cares? You can put feeling into - or draw feeling from - a religious event and relate it to your lived human experience even if you have some rational misgivings about its transcendental bits.

Speaking of Muppets, I remarked recently to a roughly coeval colleague that we were turning into the two characters from the Muppet Show, "Waldorf and ..............." eh, Waldorf and what was the other old git's name?

By the way Muppet - I didn't get more than about three Christmas Cards written before we had the Fridge Freezer go Kaput, the big car needing special order parts, and most of the world collapsing bit by bit...

The best of possible Crimbuses here in San Diego -- culminating in the ultimate Two Gifts. For one, me BBW handed me a note saying check in the trunk of Gramma's car, where I found nothing less than a full-featured Ryobi driill press!! Wodda joy of a gift that was, I can tell ya!!

Then, a mysterious packet which was marked for me...when I opened it up it was all of BBW's remaining cigarettes and her last lighter!! WOWWWWWW!!!

The best possible gift I could have gotten is the gift of life granted by reason of BBW quitting smoking. I am STOKED!!

There were four of us here tonight -- Gramma, BBW, Barky and me. Aunty Leigh was up in Colorado with friends and every one of us enjoyed something just as special. One special thoughtful gift of love after another.   Just mind boggling.

It is never about the THINGS. It is about the love that chooses the things and sends them in your direction to better your life in the material sphere.

The love's the thing,
