Subject: RE: Best thread of 2003? From: Joe Offer Date: 26 Dec 03 - 03:34 PM Hey, I looked at all the Polish threads, and I couldn't find a thread on Polish Sausage or Kielbasa. Closest I could find was Who Stole the Kishka? We really could use a Polish Sausage thread in this day and age. Oh, but while looking, I came across a link to this Retro Milwaukee Website. I feel an overpowering urge to eat kielbasa and eggs and fried potatoes, right now. -Joe Offer, who lives with a Polish wife and an even-more-Polish mother-in-law- |

Subject: RE: Best thread of 2003? From: PoppaGator Date: 26 Dec 03 - 04:48 PM Well, this is just my *personal* favorite, but back in June or so I started a thread asking for advice on my plans for an August trip to England and Ireland. Reading the many posts and responding to them, both within the thread and via "PM," was a highlight of my year. I received plenty of good wishes, lots of food for thought, and more information than I could possibly have put to use during an only-too-brief two-week journey. I have been terribly remiss in not reporting back to everyone who was so helpful and supportive. However, I still intend to post my journal/recap for you whenever I find the time. So, if you see a thread entitled "England/Ireland in August: Advice?," that'll be me, refreshing this old thread for one last time. The "August" in question, of course, being 8/03, not the upcoming August of 2004. |
