Nothing can keep Our Bill down. The current (Decenber 30, 2003) issue of The Onion has an aricle featuring him. Enjoy it, you Shatner fans. Happy New Year, all. Eric

If only he chose another profession, I'm sure the world would have been a much better place.

Absolutely. If he had gone into politics we would probably have achieved world peace many years ago.

Little Hawk has to have this brought to his attention. He'll say things like, "Ah, I told you so" or "So, what's the big surprise?" If you read this, LH, I'm gonna write Shatner into the Chongo thread. That'll be in a day or two. BM

Hi, Bruce. Sure, why not? Just try to keep it in character. I've seen Shatner play a couple of gangster roles, but never opposite a chimp.

I don't know about world peace Waldorf, but he would be the only one that would make Bush look good by comparision.

Harry Lee Wigley had his detractors too, Ron.

Realizing that Shatner fans have trouble with technology...or counting to eleven without removing their shoes...and then need help to tie them again...I have generously provided a link to this article.

So right now, this very minute, JtS and I are watching Mr. S. on VH1 where he is hosting a show called, "The One Hundred Greatest One Hit Wonders of All Time". It's a five hour show. Five hours of Shatner. Five whole hours ...of Shatner.

Who better to do it? Carol insightfully asks!

Plastic surgery and middle aged baby fat have combined to make him eerily tribble-like!

This show is fantastic!!!!!

David Soul.. Bruce Willis... Eddie Murphy and Patrick Swayze singing!
William Shatner... Not singing!

A perfect way to set completely attainable expectations for 2004!!!

The greatest Shatner Secret of all time, his Key to Success, asked if he had ever been trained in acting:

Not really. I just did it until everybody stopped objecting.

Kinda says it all...

Exert from the Onion interview:

O: Shakespeare has come up a lot throughout your career... Is there any particular reason for that, apart from the usual actor's respect for Shakespeare?

WS: No, I think pretense... is probably the main motive there.

Gotta admire the man's honesty if nothing else. "Yes, I'm pretentious. I know it. Now, you know it to." Just in case a couple of people in Mongolia or somewhere hadn't figured that one out for themselves...

Bruce

Well, all I can say is that he IS (or was, anyway) better looking than I am (or was). I, on the other hand, have worn the same belt size since I was 22 years old.

I do admire the man's sense of humour and willingness to poke fun at himself though...

I gotta say, he is on my top ten list of people I'd like to get drunk with.

Uh, Cap'n? Izzat really you? Do you remember when we met that time back on the planet Alpha Centauri VI? And then the time we got together on Ceti Alpha 2, & how we . . . uh, well, er uh, so anyways, I've been trying to catch up with you to send you holograms of the kids! They ask about you all the time! They always remember to never wear those red shirts, too. Only the gold ones. Although it is kind of difficult for all the little Hortas to get them on without arms. Please transmit message c/o the Klingon Embassy on Zirkon V in the 7th quadrant.
                        Mrs. Sockthawratha Khan Tooya Horta
p.s. the hubby says he'd like to get together with you & swap old war stories & talk about the good ol days when you knew his daddy.
