Subject: RE: BS: I love you in Garlic? From: Allan C. Date: 05 Feb 04 - 11:12 PM Maybe there is a lover to be found in Gilroy, California, aka Garlic City and home of the Gilroy Garlic Festival. I suppose if everyone there has garlic breath and if you do as well, then you don't smell it anymore. |
Subject: RE: BS: I love you in Garlic? From: Stilly River Sage Date: 05 Feb 04 - 11:19 PM I thought about mentioning Ajo, Arizona. Ajo is Spanish for garlic. |

Subject: RE: BS: I love you in Garlic? From: GUEST,pdc Date: 06 Feb 04 - 12:08 AM When I lived in Toronto in the 60s, I worked for American Airlines, and dealt with people buying tickets, etc. I remember an Italian man coming up to the counter and nearly knocking me over with the smell of garlic on his breath. I finished with him, then walked into a back room and complained bitterly to other staff members. In the 80s, I finally discovered garlic -- Italian food, Chinese food, various cuisines from around the world -- and realized I hadn't known what the hell I was talking about, and especially what I was missing. Hey, Italian man from the 60s -- you were right, and I was wrong, and I'm so sorry! The whole world should eat garlic daily, just for the sheer joy of it. So, can you smell me on this post? |
