Tech: Dream Drum?

Hi all,

While visiting Frieburg, Germany last week, I had the opportunity to watch a couple of street performers there while enjoying my bratwurst.

One of them was playing a drum like I have never seen. It was a metal (steel) conical drum held on the lap. It looked like a flying saucer with various sized dimples along it's edge. Striking each dimple produced a different tone, sounding just like a collection of steele drums from the south.

The language barrier prevented me from finding out more...anyone know more about this drum this guy called the "Dream Drum"?
