Subject: RE: BS: A Subliminal political ad From: katlaughing Date: 28 Feb 04 - 12:47 AM I know it's supposed to be subliminal, but the flash is so fast, it's really difficult to get an idea...I saw something about Democrat Hell, but that was it? |

Subject: RE: BS: A Subliminal political ad From: Donuel Date: 28 Feb 04 - 09:21 PM At 2 tenths of a second it is not really subliminal. To be subliminal it has to be 1/30th of a second or less. This pic was for a satirical piece that was so so. ...... Its not news that Republicans have the best corporate goverment that money can buy. Nor is it any surprise that exploiting loopholes has been a key to controling every facet of American lives and dwindling income. What is new is making the President out to be the spiritual and morality master of the nation which used to be the role of religious leaders. The triumverant of Neocons, Pentagon and the religious right have invested in think tanks for decades to find new ways to do things that were previously considered unethical. It has paid off in ways most people can not begin to imagine. The sky is the limit - or at least it used to be. They have stumbled onto something bigger than skimming all the money imaginable. It is bigger than stealing Social Security which only amounts to taking your lunch money for 30 years. Yep its even bigger than our regularly scheduled oil war. A MAJOR BREAKTHROUGH has occured in Jerry "Flawell's" religious right think tank regarding getting the wealth of a rich man through the eye of a needle. A new digital transfer technique has succeeded in pumping billions directly to the nether regions and has earned some of the most privileged Republicans a place in eternity - NO MATTER WHAT THEY HAVE DONE. In effect they bought a huge new gated community subdivision in hell... with a view. I'm sure we all have some idea who will be moving in, you know with Cheney's heart condition and Rumsfeld not looking well lately, but actually most new members will not be houshold names. Using the same digital transfer method, pictures and interviews have come back from hell 1... Ralph Arbitrage said "I really like it here. Its nice and warm and the food is great. There are the token penalties but nothing unbearable. I especially like watching hell 2 from behind glass. Its sort of like watching a car wash but with fire instead of water." With eternity at stake its really hard to fault the greed of certain Wall Street directors and Corporate CEO's. Even issues like destroying the enviorment and atmosphere pale in importence when compared to buying a condo in eternity. There is something else which is new. The RNC is considering using the new hell development in the coming election, once they find the right spin. At first it was thought that selling people on hell might be contrary to religious dogma but the Flawell people assure us that nothing could be further from the truth. |

Subject: RE: BS: A Subliminal political ad From: Donuel Date: 28 Feb 04 - 10:00 PM I sometimes wish I could have hung out with people like Mel Brooks, Woody Allen, Carl Reiner, Jean Shephard or even the crew at the Onion but what the hell, if it is ever my turn I probably wouldn't like the hours. |

Subject: RE: BS: A Subliminal political ad From: Bill D Date: 29 Feb 04 - 08:51 PM mack...it is a GIF, not a jpeg...sometimes your browser can be set to reject GIFs that have movement. (One of mine is, one isn't) |

Subject: RE: BS: A Subliminal political ad From: mack/misophist Date: 29 Feb 04 - 08:58 PM You just beat me to it. I hate animated gif's so much they're shut off in everything I have. It works OK now. I use a bunch of different browsers and they ALL reject animations. |

Subject: RE: BS: A Subliminal political ad From: Bill D Date: 29 Feb 04 - 09:01 PM hmmm..now my semi-fancy analysis program says it is a one-frame GIF, and has no other data... |
