Hi - I am leaving the wilds of Lancashire for a night in the Big City - scary thought. I am coming to London on Friday June 11th and returning Saturday 12th. Now there are people in London whom I know - normally I would cadge a bit of floorspace off them. However, I will be in a sort of meeting for a good part of the day and then watching a friend who is performing (as a musician, not an actor) in Romeo and Juliet at The Globe. I don't think it would be the done thing to turn up on someone's doorstep at such a late hour and want to just crash. It just wouldn't feel right. Nor do I fancy travelling around London on my own late at night. The performer friend will be returning to Tunbridge Wells, so that isn't an option - anyone know of anywhere reasonably priced in Southwark, near to The Globe?

TRy the YHA.There's one just south of St Pauls ie the other end of the Millenium Bridge from the Globe.

We have had success with laterooms - most hotels have a few rooms unlet - this firm deals with them.Laterooms
