Our now traditional Sunday jaunt out to Glaisdale during whitby folk week till take place this year on Sunday 15th August. The venue has changed to the Arncliffe Arms which most of you will be pleased to know is closer to the railway station, thus you don't have to climb the steep hill to the Moon & Sixpence. The train leaves Whitby at 12.36 arriving Glaisdale 12.59 the last train back leaves Glaisdale at 16.22 arriving Whitby approx 16.50.

The change of venue was decided by two factors, one we were too crowded last year in the moon & Sixpence the second being it's now closed for good, that sort of settled the matter really. Wombat and I trailed up and down the line trying to find a suitable venue only to end up back in Glaisdale where we spoke to the landlord of the Arncliffe Arms (Alan) and asked if we could use his pub, he readily agreed and said he would open up the lower bar just for us.

Look forward to seeing everyone there, but any romances that start up will be charged an introduction fee ...... Ted you still owe me !

Cheers

Raggytash

Well done that man. Wondered how long it would take for someone to notice the deliberate mistake.

Now then you lot ........ take notice of what Private Muppett has brought up and pray closer attention to detail in future

aside ......... Wilson do you think we could consider Muppett as a future Corporal ....

You get to perform the most outlandish p**s-takes of folk music, double helping of burnt cauliflower cheese, the right to wear shorts and sandels whatever the weather, grow your hair in any style (or lack of style) you wish and to assemble with the finest folkies in the land .......... Oh and two stripes

If Muppet is being the Corporal, what am I?    Perhaps you shouldn't answer that on a public network!)What's this about you cuddling sword dancers and spilling beer?
