Subject: BS: Armored Bulldozer Freakout From: Midchuck Date: 05 Jun 04 - 12:54 PM I know I should be upset about this behavior, but I keep thinking "What a way to go!" I suspect that, underneath it all, I'm evil. And I wasn't even raised Catholic or Calvinist! Peter. |

Subject: RE: BS: Armored Bulldozer Freakout From: Charley Noble Date: 05 Jun 04 - 04:42 PM I'm fond of "Ten-Ton Molly" by Bill Staines but the initial humor of the images of the armored bulldozer smashing its way through town got overshadowed by the death of the driver. I'm not sure this will work as a comic ballad. It was fun to watch until I got the final report. Apparently I'm less concerned about property damage than human life. Charley Noble |

Subject: RE: BS: Armored Bulldozer Freakout From: The Fooles Troupe Date: 05 Jun 04 - 07:50 PM Hmmmmm, a home made version of what the Isrealis use on the Palestineans.... Back in the 1960's, I read an SF story (in a monthly mag, I think) about a policeman trying to investigate random sporadic violent acts of similar ilk, but also including deliberate attacks on poeple. I can't remember the Author's name, but I am sure he was a 'big name'. Anybody know the story I am referring to? Robin |
