Subject: RE: Sussex Song & Ale July 2,3,4 (UK) From: Leraud Date: 10 Jun 04 - 06:22 PM Unfortunately I won't be there, because me and Pat Turner are on at the Cleckheaton Festival that weekend. However, I would say that last year I had a lovely time. It all takes place in the village hall in Upper Dicker. The village hall is just the right size and is beautifully decorated by Vectis and accomplices. The camping is on the field surrounding the village hall, which is flat and very good for tents and caravans. There's a kitchen, shower, real ale bar, excellent singing and playing and a very inclusive atmosphere. Next year we are having a 'Waltham Abbey Weekend Away' at the Sussex Song and Ale. This year the 'Waltham Abbey Weekend Away' is at the Moreton Midsummer Festival, which starts tomorrow. But back to the Sussex Song & Ale, I say 'Go and and enjoy the delights'. Lynne |

Subject: RE: Sussex Song & Ale July 2,3,4 (UK) From: GUEST,vectis Date: 01 Jul 04 - 05:46 PM We have a limit on the number of singers/players so that everybody gets to sing/play in each session. |

Subject: RE: Sussex Song & Ale July 2,3,4 (UK) From: Dave Bryant Date: 02 Jul 04 - 05:41 AM Hilary, I don't think they'll be insisting on singer's tickets at the Rainham Session - so if you and Richard don't want to fight over who sings - why not pop down to the "Three Mariners" on Saturday. |
|
Subject: RE: Sussex Song & Ale July 2,3,4 (UK) From: My guru always said Date: 02 Jul 04 - 05:47 PM Ah.... sounds like being able to make decisions in good time would have been best for this one. Wish I'd known about these 'singers tickets' before now (PC been very poorly), had thought that all were welcome. Ah well, maybe next year! |

Subject: RE: Sussex Song & Ale July 2,3,4 (UK) From: GUEST Date: 04 Jul 04 - 07:13 PM You should have come over MGAS you missed a real cracker two tickets were set aside for you and Richard when you said you might come. Hope you had a good time elsewhere. Maybe next year? Book early. |
