I have the same dilemma and desire to have the words/chords to Drew Emmitt's Keep Those Home Fires Burning. I've worked out almost all the lyrics from the Telluride CD, frustrated with the few words I can't get. Would you like me to post the rest of the verses?

Malcolm, that is exactly the CD I was referring to. I've been away for a bit, but,the first verse and chorus.....

Anyway, I really dig on this song, it has a very calming effect on me. BTW, this whole CD is really very good.

Also, I read some of the liner notes, apparently, Lefthand String Band was a precursor to Leftover Salmon. Drew Emmitt wrote and sang.

It appears simply to be a modern piece with a derivative title. I found a sound clip, but it was of the intro only, and therefore completely useless. If "Just Learning" were to quote a few lines from the CD (which is called Telluride Bluegrass Festival - Reflections Vol. 1) there would be no need for us to speculate aimlessly.

The Incredible String Band recorded a song called Darling Belle in he early 70's which incorporated part of Keep the home fires burning.Is it possibile the group you saw covered this song?

I'm sorry, no. these aren't what I was looking for. I don't beleive the song is a WWanything song. It was a performance on my Telluride Festival CD by Left Hand String Band. Like I said, I can't find any info on the song OR the band? Weird.

WWI...I used to have a midi of John McCormick singing it. I think that is probably the definitive version. We used to have an old record of it, and also ...oops forgot the one that they always sing..
