Subject: RE: Lyr Req: The Classical Greek (an Irish song) From: Jim Dixon Date: 19 Aug 04 - 10:55 PM Joe: The sound sample at the Green Linnet website didn't work for me either, but MSN Entertainment has a sound sample that works. The song seems to be the same as the one in DigiTrad. Looks like DigiTrad got the title wrong. The tune, by the way, seems to be the same as THE HUMOURS OF WHISKEY. |

Subject: RE: Lyr req: The Classical Greek (an Irish song) From: Joe Offer Date: 16 Aug 04 - 03:00 AM Well, this page (click) says it's a Mark Graham song, found on a Green Linnet album called Second Story, the second offering from "Open House", a band comprised of Mark Graham, Paul Kotapish, Sandy Silva, and super-fiddler Kevin Burke. This page is supposed to have a RealAudio recording of at least part of the song, but I can't get it to work. guess I'm ging to have to break down and buy some Mark Graham recordings. Our Digital Tradition has a Mark Graham song called Ancient Greeks. I wonder if that's the song. -Joe Offer- |
