I used to listen to BBC Radio 4 on long wave - or rather on the AM band in the car - but it seems to have disappeared. What's happened? (I'm in Ireland, by the way.)

Now mostly on FM. The only way I can listen to it here in China is on my broadband connection.

Or get a DAB Digital Radio, I hear they are selling them for £45 in Argos now.

Long Wave is still functioning but during the summer months it is turned over to cricket.

Only on match days! It might seem interminable to some, but test matches only last five days if they go the distance. Test Match Special is one of Radio Four's very best offerings - even for people who don't particularly like cricket.
