Subject: BS: 'cognitive dissidence' Gulag Blues? From: GUEST,Herr Grammar Stumpf! Date: 31 Aug 04 - 05:50 PM Because there is no such a thing as 'the' English grammar - ie it acquired one in Victorian times - but becuase ESL students make the funniest remarks by mispronouncing and thusly mispelling some words, I just had to post this one. At The Obsession website. "I was hoping a box player out there more familiar than I with Mengascini boxes could tell me if they make any of their boxes in solid black. I hav a chance to buy a Mengascini DF212E tuned B/C, but I have only seen these in natural finish. I've never seen one all black, so I'm exhibiting some cognitive dissidence. Someone tell me I'm not getting screwed" Yeah ..well if you are that much of a rebel, perhaps you should also join the Mudcat? |

Cognoscent dissidence is the feeling you get when you know all about creative dissonance but still insist to be discordant. BMW, it's gulash, not gulag. And don't start mobbing that you have been framed now. Wolfgang |
