That wonderful musical collective Silver Spear will be taking Durty Nellie's in Hull9 by storm this coming Friday, 10th September 2004

Negotiations with band members are still continuing, and the manager will be announcing the team on Thursday, but names already confirmed are Bloke in the Corner doing vocally things, augmented with guitars, harmonicas, bazookas, mandelas and that elephant's foreskin drum thing; the gorgeous NikNak on fiddly, flauty whistley things and myself, on illuminated chest-mounted Wurlitzer, containing several micro musicians and drum kit, and a guitar or a banjo if I can be arsed.

Eric the Viking will be providing the same excellent quality sound that he mastered on our last outing, and will no doubt be striking a chord or two in anger during the noisy bits.

Festivities start at 9pm, and it would be lovely to see you if you're doing nowt else.

It's mandOla9, skippy, but got to say I'm looking forward to playing Durty Nellie's again - an excellent and very vocal crowd - and with Nikki, whose music I haven't heard for yonks. No danger of a rehearsal, so her sounds will be so fresh in my lugholes.
Come along if you have time & inclination, a raucous night is promised.

I'm afraid protracted negotiations have broken down with our joint favourite lady fiddler, so the double fiddle lineup is scuppered.

However, I can announce that our own dear Kate who is Katherine will be doing a star turn, so that'll be good.

I'm looking forward to it, but with an Osson size portion of performance nerves.
