Now listen 'ere you lot. Last week there was just us & Bloke sat there. It was very pleasant to sit and talk to Bloke 'cos we don't often have chance to have a proper converse with the great man, but not much music was occuring. Anyone coming along this week? He'll kill me but I thought I'd just mention that it's CT's B'day on 22nd & I'm sure he'd like to get into the spirit with a bit of a bash on Tuesday.

I have just got a car and I am now free! Barton is on my list of top priorities. I was there for the BIG SESSION with the folkies of Hull and it is one of the best sessions I've ever been to. In the not-too-distant-future I can envisage a period of golden and rosy-tinted happiness when I can appear there every week. However, last week I got in trouble for not working hard enough and I now have to finish my PhD in record time. I think that I won't be around until after christmas. I hope to see you all soon.

Richard.

Would like to go, but my beloved is staying with me this week, so we will be staying in and having fun of a rather adult nature!

Richard,
I have sent you a PM.

Well at the risk of putting even more people off, I WILL be there tomorrow. Been away on and off the last few weeks so missed all the fun!
Look forward to seeing you all (?) then!

Sorry folks, this week's out for me - Mrs. Johnny may take umbrage and curtail the indoor golf if I leave her alone three nights on the trot. Can't make it next week either, but the week after - just maybe!

You never know who might turn up.. Skippy maybe, or oaklet... anyway, tonight my son Phil has promised to make an appearance with guitar fingers a-flailin'. Add the Thompsons, some Fenian whistler, and there's a good set of session players without anyone else who might come!
See ya there

Isn't it great to see the North South divide being broken, and we all share each others vastly talented artists.

Many of you will have heard the young talent of Heather and Hannah at the Big Session at the Six Bells a few weeks ago. If you are interested in hearing them as part of "Shifty Pig", come to the acoustic night at Pocklington Arts Centre on sunday evening. See the Blatant Plug thread for more details.

Richard.
